Hi I'm Pete
I'm an over-educated former rugby player with a coffee habit and a knack for turning emotional chaos into something you can actually work with. Think of me as part coach, part counsellor, part guy-who-gets-it—minus the clipboard, couch, and “mmm-hmm” face.
I help people get their heads and hearts sorted without using crystals, dream catchers, or telling you to just “feel your feelings” (unless you want to). If you’re carrying a load you can’t name—or just wondering what the hell it all means—I’m here to help you sort it out, one honest conversation at a time.
Pete's a well-educated professional counsellor with over 30 years in the helping professions. He's a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors and has a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology.
He's been a high-performance coach, and an educator with a Bachelor's of Education and a Masters in Human Kinetics (Coaching Science). He also works in Vancouver at a local secondary school where he teaches Philosophy and Psychology.
Nicknamed "Uncle Pete" in grad school, he's like that compassionate friend who listens and supports you but gives it to you straight. He's kind, quickly puts people at ease and is super solution-focused. Just like you, he wants results, the last thing we want is for you to be in therapy forever.
He works best with clients who realize he doesn't have a magic wand and who want to put in the work to improve their lives. A good client-counselling relationship is a partnership where you're the expert on you and your problems and the counsellor is the expert on helping you work your way through them.
